FinestraSA Pty Ltd is a highly respected Double-Glazing supply / install, servicing and maintenance company specialising in uPVC, aluminium and timber double-glazed windows and doors, servicing all areas of Adelaide. With the increasing focus on energy efficiency, our business is rapidly expanding.

 

We are seeking a number of motivated, reliable and ‘hands-on’ individuals to work with our field installation team.

 

The successful candidates may have a trade background in either Joinery, Finish Carpentry, Glazing, or be a general Handyman / All Rounder who is willing to undergo training in all aspects of new build installation / retro-fits and servicing of uPVC double glazed windows and doors during the course of your career.

We are looking for a person with the following:

Essential Criteria:

• Current Australian drivers’ license

• Minimum education completion of year 10

• Strong work ethic

• Reliable

• Keen attention to detail

• Able to use common hand tools and power tools

• Good communication skills

• Physical stamina for lifting equipment and working at various heights and in tight spaces

• Construction industry white card

 

Desirable Criteria:

• Ability to read and interpret plans (or capacity to learn)

• Working at Heights Card

• Possess PPE and carpentry trade tools

 

You will work under the guidance of a master craftsman trained in Germany and you will be exposed to a variety of projects, including custom made, bespoke work, joinery installation, hanging doors etc. You will learn from an expert in modern and traditional craftsmanship who is a competent Trainer and Assessor (TAE 40116 certified).

 

Our ideal candidate has an aptitude for precision and can learn to accommodate unique solutions to deliver clients a finished product. Therefore the scope of work may include carpentry, tiling, painting, plastering and metal work. The successful candidates will also be trained in various glazing solutions, and energy efficiency, soundproofing, break-in /burglary, sun and fire protection, as components of a proper window installation process.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Removal of existing windows and doors.

• Perform joinery/second fix carpentry work according to plans and specifications

• Measure, cut, and install various fixtures for doors, windows etc.

• Erect scaffolding or various angle ladders as required

• Troubleshoot and repair issues with building components and equipment

• Customer liaison/ customer service

• Follow established regulations and maintain safe work practices on each worksite

• Must be able to work under COVID19 requirement.

 

On completion of a probationary period the position is full time with long term development / growth opportunities.
